At some point, arguing with ignorant people on Facebook loses its appeal. It is amazing to me what people believe without doing a little basic research. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve started replying to a completely false or dumb post in the past 3 weeks but just decided it wasn’t worth it anymore. Sigh.
Here’s a thought to ponder… Are people more stupid now than they were 20, 30, 40 years ago even though we have access to more knowledge at our fingertips than we’ve ever had, or does it just appear that we are more stupid because we now have so many easily accessible platforms to share our ignorance? Or, is there something else at play here?
Are we so consumed by our electronic devices and a desire to stand out in a world full of noise that we share thoughts and information without truly taking time to think about or investigate what we are posting? Hmm…
Time consuming deep thoughts this morning. Ain’t nobody got time for this. On second thought, if I don’t save the ignorant people by providing facts and truth, who will? What a dilemma.
